Guides superb - kind and knowledgeable
The guides were all superb - clearly determined to give us a good experience. Very kind and knowledgeable. The hotel staff were also fabulous and couldn't do enough to make sure we had a great visit.

No one tried to sell us anything other than the beauty of the place
The guides and local people were really lovely, and one thing we appreciated was the simplicity of things, and the fact that we were not offered souvenirs or anything like that. No one tried to sell us anything other than the beauty of the place.

Frankly a fab Christmas
Have just completed the questionaire but wanted to say that we had, frankly a fab Christmas, thanks to Harriniva, the staff there, your rep Cary (best rep I have every had on a holiday) and the guides. The weather was unkind - v. v. v. cold, minus 35 - but the Northern Lights were v. v. kind and we saw them on Christmas Day. Magical. Staff at Harriniva could not do enough to make us comfortable that night, really, really great. If I had a criticism it would be that the hoiday was advertised as no kids - but the hotel was full of a french party with their kids, and they were rather disruptive. Hotel and Cary did their best to make the problem less intrusive, and succeeded to a point - we as a group made a joke of it in the end - but something for you to think about in the future. We had kids running around corridors early and late and food times were sometimes a little chaotic as a consequence. This very small issue aside, in my top 5 holidays ever…. mostly down to customer service - something I value and would like to mention to you.

Great way to celebrate our Silver Anniversary
Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, as were the guides. We really enjoyed the holiday, and it was a great way to celebrate our Silver Anniversary, (thank you for the champagne!). The holiday exceeded our expectations, and we would recommend the holiday to our active, fit friends. Thank you for recommending Nellim to us, we loved it!

A perfect end to a perfect holiday
Hi all. We just wanted to let you know that we have just spent an amazing week in Harriniva where we saw the Northern Lights twice on our 2012-13 New Year holiday. This picture is from Friday night just after we got engaged! Many thanks for the superb organisation and programme, brilliant activities and helpful staff, in particular your rep Cary who helped me organise the special event! Best regards, Richard and Jazmin

Magical winter wonderland
Just returned home after spending a wonderful six nights at Harriniva from 23 Dec to 29 Dec. Everything from start to finish was superb. Hotel, food and staff couldn't have been better. This was truly an amazing experience for us both. Activites included were 2 x snowmobiling, husky ride, snowshoe walking, ice fishing, reindeer sledge ride, cross-country skiing (very tiring). We had a free day to do what we wanted - we chose to go off on a trip with five others to a snow village to visit an ICEHOTEL; it was amazing. We have been on a number of holidays but this beats them all!!!!. We would not hesitate in recommending this company and this amazing experience. We have brought home some truly amazing memories and some fab pictures. Thank you Aurora Zone Team.

Worth every penny... and worth the cold!
Just got back from Nellim. The Wildnerness Hotel is lovely and the staff are amazing. They couldn't do enough for us. Each activity is planned carefully and the guides had some really useful tips on keeping warm. Snow-shoeing was a great experience and we fell in love with the husky's!! Our group size was never more than 8-16 and that meant that we always got time with the guides, learning about their history etc. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see a magnificent Aurora... just means we'll have to go back :-)

Truly fantastic trip
The trip to Menesjarvi was absolutely brilliant, we were really lucky to see the Northern Lights on the first night, though we never got 'the perfect view' because of some pesky clouds... Timo and Anne were the perfect hosts and their hotel is beautiful, everything is so welcoming and the activities are such good fun, and perfectly spaced out to allow some relaxing time between too... I'd recommend the trip to anybody and everybody!

We were continually impressed by the Nellim Wilderness Hotel and all their staff
We were continually impressed by the hotel and all their staff. The guides were all so well informed and authentic. But, at the same time, everyone was so friendly and not at all patronising with us city slickers! We also felt the trainees really added to the trips with their enthusiasm. The equipment was top quality and the food was amazing and really tasty.

Hotel fantastic
Hotel fantastic, all staff exceptional and very helpful. Their knowledge and pride in their environment came over very well and all spoke very good English. The food was plentiful and hearty, just what was needed. Just understand that you are 40 minutes from the nearest village and 300km from nearest town and then marvel even more at how well orgainsed this hotel and the activities are.

Thank you, thank you, thank you again
You took untold trouble to help us have a really good holiday in Inari 4th to 8th March. I just want you to know it was wonderful. I cannot say how grateful we both are for all you did to make it a really wonderful experience. We saw the Northern Lights every night – you must have arranged it very well. Even the local people said that the display was the best in 50 years!! We were really lucky. Also, you and I arranged for my son Ben and Jill and their children to have a really wonderful holiday in February. Thank you, thank you, thank you again.

Chasing Auroras :)
We had one of THE BEST experiences of our lives here on Lake Inari, Nellim. Saw spectacular lights on THREE separate nights, went to visit some cute reindeers and had the most fun riding and driving the huskies' snow sledges! Our tour guides including Bert and Matti were knowledgable and professional, always trying to help us make the most out of our Lapland adventure. We are also truly grateful to meet new friends from different parts of the world. Thank you for the memories and please, keep up the good work! Arnie Isa, London

Thanks to our guide, Matthew, for making this trip so interesting
It is really enjoyable! Thanks to our guide, Matthew, for making this trip so interesting. We love the places and most of the activities, except snowshoes which is too tiring for us... We are glad that we joined the right tour to enjoy Aurora hunting to the max! Thanks Aurora Zone!

Enjoyed every minute
We enjoyed every minute. The organisation very good, our local guide, Matthew, was excellent and told us everything we needed to know. Seeing the Northern Lights was the best, because that was the main aim of the holiday. We were lucky enough to have an excellent show. The hotel staff were very helpful, the whole atmosphere was relaxed, the equipment was superb and the activities were just right.

We saw the Northern Lights four times
We travelled to Luosto the week of the 10th March and we were very lucky seeing the Northern Lights four times and wow what an experience, what a great way to spend a special Birthday. Everything on our trip was perfect, the hotel was good, and the food was excellent. We enjoyed the husky ride, one of the highlights, such fun. The local Reps were excellent. Overall 10/10.

The arrangements were absolutely spot on
I am just writing on behalf of my wife and myself to say how much we enjoyed our trip to the Forest Hotel at Tarendo over the weekend. The arrangements were absolutely spot on. The flights, both to Helsinki and onward to Kittila, were excellent and the service we received both from the hotel and the various members of staff that we encountered were superb. The Forest Hotel gives a very warm and homely atmosphere and we were made to feel very welcome. The various excursions were a fantastic experience and we would be happy to thoroughly recommend your Company.

A review of Tärendö - Northern Lights and the ICEHOTEL®
Menesjarvi alias Narnia
Wow! What a fabulous holiday. Timo and Jane went above and beyond the call of duty even after a long working day. For me, Jane taught me how to knit socks the Finnish way, and Timo lent me his gloves to build a snowman as we were leaving! Timo's knowledge on photography was amazing and he was more than willing to share it with us, and happy that we had one of the top five nights of spectacular Aurora display. We stayed out for three hours until our lenses froze! To leave Menesjarvi was very hard indeed, we were the last on the bus. In the book by CS Lewis, "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe"...... we  were leaving Narnia. Back home  I have been driving my car like a snowmobile. Not good in narrow country lanes! Can't wait to go back, be it through a wardrobe, plane or car, it will never be soon enough. Thank you all so much for making a dream come true.
