We really felt in safe hands with Aurora zone throughout and they planned an amazing week of activities which we could tailor to best suit us. Torassieppi is an incredible destination, with the friendliest and most helpful staff and guides ever (and the absolute best food throughout - and they were great at catering to our dietary requirements!) The activities and guides really made it special, from a romantic night-time reindeer sleigh ride to snowshoeing through the Pallas-Yllastunturi National Park. On top of that, there was so much to do locally, including a reindeer and husky farm, winter village with incredible ice sculptures, and lots of great places to head off cross-country skiing/snowshoeing/fat biking. The real icing on the cake was seeing the northern lights, but even if we didn't it would've been an unforgettable trip. We also need to mention that we found both Aurora zone and Torassieppi to be really LGBT+ friendly, and we felt really comfortable throughout to be ourselves and enjoy our honeymoon in the incredible landscape of northern Finland.

The most enjoyable activity was probably the snow mobiles and visit to the reindeer farm. Covered a lot of ground. Beautiful scenery and interesting talk. Felt like a very full day.

It is hard to pick a favoruite activity as they were different but we really enjoyed them all - snowmobile, huskie safari, aurora camp, aurora hunting. An excellent holiday with fantastic staff at the company and hotel. In resort the helpfulness, friendliness and knowledge of staff was extremely good.

The chap who originally took my booking and accomodated our flight preferences went one step beyond helpful and we found the same with everyone who facilitated our holiday. Lucia was lovely at the hotel and was very friendly. The guides knew their stuff and the farm owner and his staff at the husky farm were really good coves! We were lucky with the evening snowshoeing because the weather was perfect and the northern lights good, so it felt the most magical.

Honestly, I can’t differentiate. The snowmobiling and husky sled were two activities we hadn’t tried before and they were great. Meeting the dogs at the end was a bonus. The reindeer herder was also great. The camps in the evening were good fun too. Everything was superb.

The food quality was excellent, plentiful, nutritious and tasty. The hotel, rooms, amenities and facilities are perfect. It's really nice to be in an unusual, repurposed building rather than a homogenized chain. The bedrooms are well equipped and comfortable, and really with so much to do outside they're just four sleeping in :-) I loved the physical exertion mixed with the tranquility of snow shoeing and cross country skiing through the forest. The snow mobile's appealed to me as a petrol head and didn't disappoint... although I would have loved a little more freedom to go off piste on the lake maybe. The fishing was a great experience to drill through the ice and peaceful although fruitless. The reindeer herder experience was really nice, authentic and personal, the herder was really friendly and personable and getting so close to the reindeer out in the forest was amazing. Overall though, I think I'd have to say the husky sledding was my favourite... the dogs were lovely, clearly well looked after and so enjoyed pulling the sleds.

Love the unplanned time, just wandering in the gorgeous snow. Of organised activities, loved the snowshoe aurora camp - the location of the camp was magical and the visit to the reindeer farm was delightful.

I'd booked this trip as a bucket list dream to see the Northern Lights and figured that if I wasn't lucky enough to see them, the activities would make up for it. I never did see the lights but this trip was full of wow and was a perfect holiday. The Nangu Wilderness Hotel is lovely, food great, staff fantastic and I loved every second... I just wish I could have stayed longer. I was really looking forward to the husky safari and it didn't disappoint but I was surprised how much I loved the snowshoeing (I'm 64 and not so fit!) and the snowmobiling with stunning views of the setting sun appearing at unexpected moments. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable and attentive and the Aurora Zone rep, Lucia, was fantastic and took the trouble to go into Inari to buy me the Sami drum I wanted and couldn't get at the hotel. This was a holiday I won't forget and I look forward to another Aurora Zone break in the future. Loved it!

The most enjoyable aspect was obviously seeing spectacular northern light show... every night of our stay-we were so so lucky. As for the prepaid acts... got to have been dog sleigh trip. Fully appreciated the tips on what to pack.. depending on activities booked. Never felt cold even when dipped to -25C! 

Husky Sledding was our favoruite, as have never done anything like that before, our guide was excellent and the dogs were lovely.

Everyone was friendly and helpful

All activities were very well organised and all creature comforts were taken care of. Probably the Reindeer visit was my favourite. We appreciated the expert knowledge in helping us to choose this particular holiday and the comprehensive information provided before the trip. Muotka was fantastic and lived up to our expectations. The manager and staff are super friendly and create a very relaxed atmosphere. The activities were extremely well organised and well led. In short we were blessed with great weather, good aurora activity and had a great holiday. Many thanks
