We had a fantastic New Year at Torassieppi.

Honestly, everything about the holiday was superb. It felt like so much longer than the three days we were actually there, because of the amount that was packed in. I keep looking back at the photographs in amazement. The packing guide was particularly helpful before we travelled. I would also like to extend a huge thank you for the card and wine for Tina's birthday - it made an already special holiday even more enjoyable.

As a family all the activities were fantastic with a shout-out for the ice fishing. For me, the dog sledding, but I have a bias towards dogs. All of the activity leaders were great but a special thanks to Jerome. Informative, laid back and very accommodating.

Snowmobile expeditions and husky sleigh ride/drive were fantastic. But the morning with the reindeer herder and his sister was an exceptional way to start the new year. Gentle animals, in stunning scenery, with the herder's explanations providing the context. Jerome was particularly helpful and informative, and always had a smile on his face. And Catherine did her level best to ensure everyone got to the right activity on time. She was also an excellent MC at the New Year's Eve dinner.

This is our second trip with The Aurora Zone to Finland. Stunning location, stayed in Wildnerness cabin with own fire and sauna, it was idyllic.  Still haven't managed to catch the Northern Lights but it absolutely didn't matter.  The staff are like one big happy family, so warm and friendly and all very experienced and knowledgeable. We will definitely be returning.

We saw the Northern Lights on several nights. Flawless organisation - well done!

Loved immersing into the nature and interacting with the local animals. Very happy with the structure and the quality of the itinerary and activities. Phone rep that booked us in was very responsive and prompt.

The jeep trip to see the Northern Lights was fantastic. It felt like we were really away from all civilisation on the lava flow, looking up at the stars.

I always do my own holiday booking so this is the first time I've used a tour company and you guys made it very easy! I loved the Sorbyn Lodge, they made us feel so welcome. the guides for all the activities we did were amazing. We especially loved hannah from northern soul journeys who guided our dog sledding tour! Dog sledding was the coolest activity I've ever done, in any country! It was great to be alone with our guide and not have to be on an adventure with a bunch of strangers. Hannah made our dog sledding experience so memorable. We loved Sorbyn Lodge, t's so cozy and the staff really go out of their way to make you feel at home in their space.

We loved the hotels , very comfortable and welcoming! And we are planning to return to Sommarøy in the summer as we liked the area so much. The Sami cultural experience with the reindeer sledding was very good. Informative and low key and we felt very welcome.

We loved the evening snowshoes - our guide was from Finland which made it extra special and it was so peaceful. We also loved the huskies and thought the husky place was very well run and humane. The same of the reindeer. The snowmobile experience was excellent too although all the guides were good we particularly enjoyed meeting Lappish and Finnish people.

Absolutely fantastic from start to finish

We really enjoyed the trip and all the activities, and everything went really smoothly. We absolutely loved snowmobiling, and always enjoy cross country skiing.

Everything was amazing but the husky safari was outstanding and being Christmas Day it made it even more special and memorable. From initial enquiry to the holiday itself everyone was so helpful and did all they could to make sure we all enjoyed ouselves

Christmas was very special this year as I spent it with all my family in Nellim, it even included a visit from Father Christmas during dinner! We took part in a range of activities - snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, ice fishing, visit to a reindeer farm and Aurora camps, organised by friendly helpful guides, but the one that was outstanding, and will forever remain in our memory, was the husky safari on Christmas Day and being able to visit the kennels afterwards. Thank you Aurora Zone for a Christmas to remember forever.

We cannot stress enough how much we loved this holiday! The location was absolutely stunning and magical, the hotel and aurora log cabin was fantastic. But we would like to particularly mention and commend the staff at Wilderness Hotel Inari, particularly the guides. They were full of knowledge and expertise but also so incredibly kind and welcoming to us. So many of the activities were made even more amazing thanks to their hard work. They were also fantastic in helping to accommodate me on certain activities while I was pregnant, such as organising a modified version of the husky safari without the sledding. The food was all delicious and everything ran smoothly- we had such a great time that we didn't even mind not seeing the northern lights in great brightness! The reindeer farm visit was truly magical. Riding a reindeer sleigh a few days before Christmas! The owners of the farm were again so welcoming and knowledgeable, we were fascinated to learn about the Sami culture. It was lovely to have the opportunity to support their farm further by visiting their gift shop which had super handmade crafts. A special mention also to the snowshoeing trek- we were a little worried that we were going to find this a bit too much like hard work, but the pacing was perfect, the scenery was incredible and the campfire lunch was delicious!

Husky safari was excellent.

We would definitely go again and hopefully see the Northern Lights next time. Thanks for all your help

There were a couple of outstanding people that made our trip special so please thank them for us.  Magdalena at the activities desk who persevered in getting me a taxi to town for a couple of hours and then checked I managed to find one to come back.  Aaro the driver who shared his love of country music with us, stopped for us to take photos of the reindeer on the road and made a special effort to deliver a gift shop item to me after he finished work.  He was outstanding in the service department!!  Also Katia the local taxi driver/nurse who told me many things about Finnish culture.  She was awesome. Loved the food!  They went out of their way to show us the tastes of Finland and people should be more open-minded when travelling and not expect what they get at “home”. Overall we loved it.

I loved the reindeer farm visit the most and my husband loved the husky visit the most. I loved the reindeer because it was magical, peaceful and you got to do a good variety of activities and learned a lot about the culture and the reindeer themselves. My husband loved the huskies because he loves dogs and getting to drive the sleigh over beautiful scenery was breathtaking. Also, on the last night we booked the use the glass top sauna which was stunning and we were lucky enough to catch a glimps of the northern lights whilst in there! Overall the holiday was amazing. It was very surreal and we kept having to pinch ourselves that we were actually there. The hotel, the food, the staff were all amazing and the activities the hotel offered were very good with something to suit everyone. We were lucky enough to see the aurora at the hotel on our last night which just topped off an amazing holiday.

I loved this trip. We enjoyed all the activities (main reason I booked this trip). We used the sauna every day. Lovely snowy landscapes and we were so lucky the northern lights came out dancing on our final night! Overall very happy with this holiday. Everything was well planned, the room was good, the food was plenty, we were always provided with hot drinks and cookies during activities, the sauna was great, guides were friendly.

The overall experience was excellent.

Best trip ever! A glimpse of the Northern Lights on our last night was the icing on the cake!!

We have just returned from Inari and had the holiday of a lifetime. Everything from my first holiday enquiry, through to the holiday, hotel staff, hotel, activities....everything! was amazing. I will be recommeding you to anyone wanting this type of holiday. Thank you for everything!

We really didn’t want to leave

We really enjoyed the snow shoe walk, the guide was great and we loved making our own track through the untouched snow.

All activities were amazing, the snow mobile was the best activity, mainly because we were within a small competent group so the guide was able to take us further.

Overall an unforgettable experience and one that all our friends and relatives have asked about and indicated that they would love to experience too.
