A beautiful hotel, very warm, fantastic location overlooking the frozen lake. There was a good choice of food, I am vegetarian and was amply catered for. Warm suits are provided on site. There is a dedicated activities desk and all activities started from the front of the hotel. Our only concern was that the hotel did not give us the Northern Lights alarm and we weren’t aware it was part of our package. After realizing and complaining we were promptly offered compensation. We loved all the activities except the sleigh ride to aura camp and the minibus hunt for the lights. We didn’t see the lights on either of those trips but saw them when we got back to the hotel. We had a great guide on the best activities Freddy from Peru he is fantastic.

Very well organised by Aurora Zone - easy to work with and very accommodating. All went perfectly to plan. Tromos was a delight. It is a fascinating and welcoming place with an imposing and beautiful location. Our hotel was very well located to access all facilities and had a delightful outlook and relaxed atmosphere. Sommaroy was peaceful, mystical, and stunningly beautiful. Will go again! We also got to see the Aurora - which was very much what we wanted. All boxes ticked

Awesome trip in January with wonderfully chosen activities and a chance to see the northern lights and experience polar night! We added an extra night in Tromso at the beginning, which did not add too much cost and gave us time to experience both the night cruise and the husky sleigh ride, while enjoying Tromso and a comfortable hotel with great breakfast included. The Vasa reindeer ranch (Finland ) was the most beautiful place I've ever seen, with a wonderful hostess, delicious food, and cozy cabins. We were a little too cold in the IceHotel (it was unusually cold that night), but it was still an incredible experience that we don't regret. In Kiruna, we added a traditional spa visit at a nearby hotel - well worth it! After departing Kiruna and saying farewell to the "tour" portion of our trip, we took an overnight sleeper train from Kiruna to Stockholm and flew home from Stockholm. That added another beautiful and special leg to the experience, without a lot of added cost.
