Amazing holiday
We had an amazing holiday - great itinerary, everything had been thought of. Everyone we dealt with both before and during the holiday were really friendly and couldn't do enough to help. I can't say enough - what a brilliant time we had - even though we were on the go the whole time it was really relaxing. Beautiful scenery, lovely people, great food and the chance to do things we've never done before. Even if we hadn't seen the Northern Lights (they decided to show up on our last night) I wouldn't have gone home disappointed. They just added to what was a lovely few days away.

I haven't smiled as much in a long time..!
The most memorable part of the holiday was the Skidoo trip in darkness into the middle of a forest to see the Aurora... I haven't smiled as much in a long time..! It isn't a very 'Active trip'. I think you just need to be mobile in most instances and up for a challenge. The only real energetic element was the cross-country skiing. Good thermals are essential! The fact that we were riding around on Skiidoos, perhaps wasn't the best minimal impact on the environment, but there is no other comparable mode of transport to get to the middle of nowhere in the snow. I would thoroughly recommend this trip. I enjoyed every second of this thrilling ride. We were lucky the last day produced an Aurora!

Very impressed
We arrived half a day late due to flight delays but we were very impressed by the way our activities were rescheduled so that we did everything that had been promised.

Exhilarating time in Inari
Thank you for your “welcome back” email.  We had an exhilarating time in Inari enjoying all the activities and were very fortunate to have a good display of the Northern Lights at the end of our first full day. This made it a superb start to the holiday.  All of the organisation and arrangements for collection for the activities and transport back to the hotels was on time and friendly. This was a great pity as every other aspect of the holiday went very well. I have attached a couple of photos you may use in next year’s brochure if you choose, especially as one was taken of the Northern Lights from the area at the back of the hotel Kultahovi. A most memorable experience, thank you.

Holiday lived up to all our expectations
The holiday lived up to all our expectations in terms of quality of experience, but this was enhanced by the friendliness shown by all members of the Forest Hotel staff. You might want to tell guests that, weather permitting, walking on the quiet roads is a pleasant activity which allows for a quieter less organised period. We enjoyed walking to Tarendo village and talking to some of the local people, looking at the houses, etc. We were lucky enough to see the Aurora on four separate nights. Strangely enough the best shows were on our two additional nights when the lights danced and showed us a variety of colours. We said from the start that we were going on the trip for more than the Northern Lights, but we were very grateful to the staff at the hotel for ensuring that we knew how to look for them, as the Aurora were the crowning glory to a wonderful visit.

Overall, this was a great holiday which exceeded expectations
Overall, this was a great holiday which exceeded expectations. Was expecting a fairly basic hotel with basic food yet it was of a very good standard. The 10 Euro buffet lunch was excellent value and the breakfasts were superb with an enormous range including DIY waffles and porridge as well as the usual hot and cold choices. Dinner in the hotel's log restaurant which was about 300 metres away was delightful and of an excellent standard.

A truly exciting exciting experience all round
My partner and I have just returned from a five day break in Luosto. The main purpose of the trip was to celebrate his 60th Birthday. We both knew of course, the Aurora are a natural phenomenon, so went out with my best policy "hope for the best, but expect the worst". On arrival at the hotel Tunturi, after a very smooth and efficient days travel from Manchester and transfer from the airport, we were handed our "Aurora alert" by the receptionist. The hotel was very clean and quite modern, food on the first evening was taken in the log cabin up the road, on following evenings in the hotel restaurant. Tasty and plenty to choose from, always a meat dish and a fish dish for mains. Breakfast was excellent, buffet style with hot and cold, including porridge, pancakes and pastries. The "Aurora alert" worked! On day two, just as we were starting off on a snowshoe trek the alert went off, yet it was only 8pm, surely this was too early? No it wasn't, the lights appear when they want to, not when you want them to. And so we had an absolutely fantastic display of the lights at their best, for over an hour, while stood in a clearing high above Luosto. Words will never describe that experience. The alert went off again at 1:30am, but we chose to stay in the warm. and just take in what we had experienced just a few hours before. Everything about the break was great, from the use of the cold weather gear, to the excursions, of which there are plenty; snow mobiling, husky rides, reindeer rides snow shoes etc. The spa at the hotel was very good, pool jaccuzi and sauna. Hotel staff very friendly. Activities Abroad/Aurora Zone reps very friendly and good company. Overall, a truly exciting experience all round, and the lights being the icing on the cake for my partner's birthday!

A truly memorable trip, now I'm trying to persuade the rest of my family to come next time!
The hotel was lovely and the food was wonderful. Everything was so well organised, from the transfers to the activities, to the equipment hire. It was wonderful that all the activities were done in such small groups, and the guides were so welcoming and knowledgeable. The husky sledding was fantastic, great to do it yourself and not just be a passenger. Dina who ran the husky farm was lovely and so passionate about her animals, it was a really memorable experience. A truly memorable trip, now I'm trying to persuade the rest of my family to come next time!
