We appreciated the effort that was made to allow us to add additional days and locations to the original package. The individual we were dealing with listened to what we wanted and made valuable and helpful suggestions. The holiday was amazing itself particularly the 7 days in Inari. The hotel was faultless and the guides there were truly excellent as were all of the hotel staff. From start to finish it was excellent.

From initial engagement with Graham Hughs in the sales office; the welcome from the hotel; the trips and experiences; through to dropping us off at the end of our holiday, the whole experience was exceptional! Everything was well organised, efficient and really fun!. However I needed to get back to work after for a rest!. Well done Aurora Zone!

Loved the snowmobiles, reindeer day and husky sledging. Also night aurora snowshoe. The guides made the best experiences for all. Husky owner was delightful and time with dogs after the trip was very special.

The holiday was planned very well and the activity guides made our time more special. They are passionate about what they do and care about their guests. The setting was idyllic and so magical. The food was excellent - better than we had expected. We did lots of snowmobiling which we loved. Driving through the snowy forests was beautiful and will live long in the memory. My husband and I had the holiday of a lifetime and it was more than we dreamed it would be. We will hold these memories in our hearts forever.

Food provided by Chef Gilles was excellent and he was most friendly. All of the staff were friendly & helpful. Lovely location; peaceful, isolated, unspoilt. Booking process was efficient; any queries or questions were dealt with promptly. Using the snowmobiles, going on the husky safari and seeing the Northern Lights - all of these were new, exciting & unique experiences. Going out with the guides on the different activities as their knowledge was tremendous and they were all friendly & approachable.

It was a fantastic trip!

The whole trip was memorable. A great place with great people and just the right amount of activities. Husky sledding, snow mobiles and snow shoeing amongst others, and a very special New Years Eve. Our guide Scotty was excellent and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The information provided beforehand is spot on. Follow this and you can't go wrong with equipment and clothing etc. It was refreshing to see how the hotel actively supports the environment and conservation and educates guests.

The best holiday I have ever had, just amazing. Can't thank everyone enough, from Katrina making sure we were ok, the hotel staff looking after us, to Scotty our guide the man is a legend and made our holiday. Our cabin was cosy, the equipment was fantastic and New Year's eve was a blast. Action-packed, amazing fun.

We loved it, and it was even better than described. Good tips for what to take including the travel kettle.

We didn't meet the local rep, but all hotel staff and the aurora workshop presenter were excellent, very well informed and helpful. All the activity guides were charming, knowledgeable and very friendly. The birthday cake was delicious - thank you. And the decorations, including chocolates and sparkling wine, were lovely, all very thoughtful.

The staff in the hotel were excellent. The mostly young men who guided our activities were excellent.

I enjoyed so many of the activities it is hard to choose, but husky ride and cross country skiing immediately come to mind. The scenery and location were spectacular, and the staff and other guests added to what was an amazing experience. I just want to thank everybody involved from start to finish, for an unforgettable experience. I was extremely sad to leave, and will definitely be recommending to friends and family.

We did have a fantastic time and loved spending New Year at Inari Lake. We met some great people, and the staff at the hotel were exemplary, as were the guides. It was such an adventure and we were so lucky to catch a glimpse of the northern lights! Thank you.

I enjoyed all the activities, but if I had to pick one it would probably be the Aurora Photo Tour, which provided some excellent pictures of the Northern Lights, which was the main reason for the trip. My overall experience was so much beyond expectations. I had a small personal issue which caused me to cancel my booking, however circumstances changed and I found I could go on the tour. I would like to thank ALL of the staff members who assisted me in getting my booking back, the service was outstanding and appreciated so much, which enabled me to have an experience of a life time. I found everything organised was of such a high standard and every step along the way was taken care off. Communication and information supplied was far above what one would expect. All of the activities were brilliant and the guides used were some of the best guides I have come across in all of my extensive travels. Once again, Thank you for providing a tour that I enjoyed immensely.

All excellent but husky dog personal sledging was outstanding due to being active all the time.

A fantastic & truly memorable trip. The staff at Nangu were outstanding - a brilliant lodge.

Where to start? The huskies were incredible, the snowmobiles exhilarating, the reindeer fun, the ice hotel a great novelty. All of it was fantastic. Myself and my family were thrilled with the whole adventure. My only disappointment was that it wasn't long enough for me... I could have easily stayed for several more days, with more than one safari on the animals and snowmobile.

All activities were superb - great guides and good duration.

We had the most fabulous time. Nagu Wilderness Hotel is beautiful. The staff are great. I really cannot fault it at all. The dog sledding was all of our favourite activity. It was wonderful to do it but also wonderful to see the dogs and how they live, and how well looked after they are.

I normally plan vacations so handing over 3 days to a travel agency was a little uncomfortable for me. It worked out great. We had a wonderful time. I think it was very well put together. No complaints.

My eight days in Lapland, Finland were utterly wonderful.  I have long wanted to experience the Aurora, the Northern Lights and explore Lapland, and this particular holiday was unquestionably the best way for me to do it.  All background information required (travel insurance, clothing requirements, detailed itinerary) was provided well in advance and even though I had lots of questions they answered every single one of them.  Furthermore, they kept me abreast of any changes and additional information.  The trip itself was amazing.  I flew from Helsinki to Ivalo and was greeted at the airport by a lovely team from Nellim who then bussed us to the lodge where I checked in, was given a quick overview of how things worked and outfitted with my temporary sub-zero clothing gear before a fantastic dinner.  The activities were all beautifully paced, expertly led and not only highly informative but lots of fun.  In addition, the activities were carefully managed so everybody was safe, supported, and were great for total beginners like myself.  I had never participated in any of the snow activities and particularly enjoyed the Snow Shoe Wilderness Hike (invigorating, incredibly beautiful) the Husky Sled Ride-Drive (exhilarating) and actually witnessing two extraordinary displays of the Aurora, The Northern Lights.  One display was particularly striking and is something I shall never forget.  All personnel at Nellim Lodge were so accommodating, friendly, hard-working and went above and beyond to help.  Furthermore, the meals were superb.  Really, outstanding.  I loved having the traditional Finnish Christmas dinner, too, and after a day hiking in the snow, it was lovely to return to order a hot Vodka Glogi from the bar.  Really, I could write much more, but I highly recommend this special snow holiday.  All the email assistance from The Aurora Zone personnel were super friendly, helpful, and supportive.  I highly recommend checking them out.

Everyone was friendly, helpful and obviously cared that you were looked after. The hotel, rooms and overall location were second to none.

A lovely holiday. Great family activity for families with older children (we had teenagers).

We loved this holiday- in fact, it was probably in my top 3 of all time. The dog sledding was brilliant - just amazing but we also loved the snowshoeing. Everyone was delightful. The guides were first class and made all the outings such fun. Jocco ( spelling may be wrong ) was just great. The hotel staff were lovely and the food was really good.

It was all so wonderful but I think the peace and quiet of Pine Lodge were the most memorable. The holiday was so well organised and I would like to thank Goran and Ann.

Thank you so much for finding this alternative trip for us which allowed my ageing mother to go for what will probably be her last overseas trip. A shame we didn’t see the Aurora’s but we both had a wonderful time.
