Local guides and activity guides really friendly and helpful
Local guides and activity guides really friendly and helpful. Even took time to find my phone, lost in the snow at the aurora camp! Most enjoyable activity? Difficult one! Snowmobiling to the reindeer farm as it was a 5 hour mixed day and the weather was good too!

Nothing could have been better
It is the only holiday that we have ever been on where we can honestly say that nothing could have been better. It is impossible to pick one activity that was the best as they were all great in different ways.

All of the activities were personal, awe-inspiring, and unforgettable.
All of the activities were personal, awe-inspiring, and unforgettable. Our favourite was the snowmobile tour of the wilderness, where we spent a few hours with the activity guide driving through the snow and drinking warm juice in the kota. It was just the three of us and gave us a great opportunity to take in the beautiful surroundings and learn a great deal about Luosto. Everything was perfect! Thanks to everyone for their part in organising our holiday, especially Andy who dealt with my initial enquiry right through to handing the package over to the admin team. Our holiday was very last minute, I booked only 2 weeks in advance. Andy did a great job in finding us everything we could have hoped for.

Seeing the Aurora...Brilliant
Most enjoyable: Seeing the Aurora, of course. Brilliant. I was surprised at how good all the activities were. I thought the reindeer farm and dogs might be a bit naff, but absolutely not, because they were genuine people doing something they liked doing and we were just there to hear them. Your response when we had weather related transport problems on way out was fantastic.

A review of Sortland - Adventure with the Aurora Addicts
We were lucky enough to see the Aurora every night, it was stunning.
Food was very good and exactly what was needed in that environment. There was no choice of dishes, but that wasn't a problem. The husky safari was exciting, participative and a quiet way to enjoy the beautiful forest environment. We were lucky enough to see the Aurora every night, it was stunning. The location of Hotel Korpikartano is ideal, no light pollution so no need to travel to hunt the Aurora, just stroll down the path to the lake. We enjoyed everything, the weather was perfect for all the activities. The staff and guides exceeded expectations. We were made to feel welcome and special right up to the moment of departure at the airport. Hotel Korpikartano is professionally run by extremely knowledgeable owners. It operates smoothly with great attention to detail and the safety of their clients.

You really experience the activities like a local
Andy and Dawn were really, really helpful pre-trip. Our trip was land-basis, so we arrived to the hotel earlier than the group . We were waiting for the group for briefing meeting, they were late and briefing postponed for an hour. Our guide Ben came to our room to inform us about the delay which was nice. None of the activities were "just touristic". You really experience them like a local. You don't spend 15 minutes and take photos with huskies for example, you go for a ride for 1,5hours. It has cons and pros of course. But we liked it.

A holiday of a lifetime...perfect
It was by far one of the most amazing holidays we have ever had. Just wish I was still there! We saw the Northern Lights four nights on the trot. The activities were so much fun and the guides were excellent and we made lovely new friends. Will definitely go back...A holiday of a lifetime...perfect.

We saw the Aurora Lights for five nights
We were delighted that we saw the Aurora Lights for five nights in total, exceptionally well on three. The organisation and administration of the holiday were great. Muotka was smaller, more intimate, less sophisticated but somehow more attractive, and easy to enjoy between activities going for walks etc. Most enjoyable : Seeing the Aurora Lights (the bit that you can't guarantee!!), Snowshoeing in the National Park at Muotka. Snowmobiling on the lake at Nellim. Husky dogs in a snow blizzard!

The husky sleigh experience was fantastic
Ben the local guide was excellent even when there was no Aurora to see due to cloud/snow, he kept the group entertained. Most enjoyable? Just walking around in a beautiful unspoilt landscape. The husky sleigh experience was fantastic. Improvements? Get rid of the clouds! A thoroughly enjoyable trip and we got to see the lights at midnight on our last night which of course was the highlight but even if we hadn't we would have had a great holiday.

A review of Nellim - Tailor Made
We were treated to three separate shows from the Northern Lights, each one better than the last.
Just a few words to say thanks for the experience we had with you. We went as a treat for my wife's 60th, and she was knocked out by the whole thing. Whilst the brief stay in the capital was fine (especially the bistro next to the hotel), the whole thing really kicked off when we went out for the two nights at The Ranga. The scenery was absolutely spectacular - the sheer wildness of the area took our breath away! To cap it all, the skies cleared on our last night and we were treated to three separate shows from the Northern Lights, each one better than the last. The whole experience was greatly enhanced by the (off road) skills and knowledge of our driver/guide - Ingi. Thanks to you - and him - for a wonderful experience.

Staff were all friendly and knowledgeable.
Staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable. They clearly enjoy their work, which enhances the trip for the guests. All (activities) equally enjoyable in their own way, but I particularly enjoy the isolation and wilderness of the location. The fact that we didn't really have to travel in order to find somewhere to watch the Aurora was one of the main reasons for choosing this trip. There were no activities that I didn't enjoy.

This holiday scores 11/10
Quite frankly an amazing trip - we were blessed with three nights of Aurora sightings but even without this it was a stunning holiday. Lapland was beautiful in March and not too cold. All the activities were amazing fun and the local guides excellent and friendly. The snowmobiling and husky sledding were awesome. One of the Aurora nights was cosmic in proportion and made you realise how unimportant we are! The hotel was very comfortable and the food hearty as stated. We would highly recommend this trip and we met a lot of fun people. This holiday scores 11/10.

I really enjoyed the entire trip
I really enjoyed the entire trip; was very peaceful to be in such a remote town with nice people and unique experiences. The airport transfer was easy, Luka awaited us with a sign. And Quincy was very nice greeting us as we arrived at the lodge. The rest of the trip was easy, clear communication of where to be when, easy access to all the right clothing/gear, great guides and friendly staff, fun husky ride, nice snowmobile safari (although those things are hard to turn!), accomodation was nice, especially compared to what I expected in a remote lodge like this. Food was fine, nothing super special, but also quite good for such a remote location. They even provided us some special veggie options upon request, so that was nice. The sauna was a nice warm break from the outside temperatures! I liked that we could reserve it privately for an hour, but I wonder if that would be possible during busier times. As when we were there the lodge was pretty empty. so in peak times, it might mean that some guests don't get a turn, which would be a shame. So overall a really nice winter holiday! Most enjoyable: seeing the Lights! We only got to see them our first night, as the next two were cloudy. but glad we caught them at all! the husky ride was also fun and special.I

Fantastic and incredibly memorable holiday!!!!
Where do I start!? It was all incredible!! I suppose it started with the fact that Aurora Zone called us at Helsinki Airport on our way to Inari to let us know there had been a gate change for our connecting flight - what great service! The accommodation at Hotel Kultahovi was just lovely - the rooms were spacious, clean and having our own sauna was such a luxury! When we arrived, one of the owners was there to greet us and explain a little about the hotel. The food at the hotel was amazing - Arctic Char, slow-cooked pork, reindeer - just to name a few - we definitely didn’t go hungry! And there were three delicious courses every meal! Luckily we had lots of activities during the days and nights to help work off all of the food. The daytime activities were all fantastic: the highlights were definitely the snowmobiles and the husky safaris (we did the two night extension so had two husky safaris). Of course the main highlight of the whole trip was the incredible Northern Lights displays we were lucky enough to see. We saw something every night we were there! Just spectacular!! All of the guides we had were lovely and very knowledgeable (answering all of my silly questions). Antti was our guide for the first four days but then he had a couple of days off and on one of the nights he had off, he even called the guide we were with, Beth, to check if we could see the lights because he could see them where he was - it was so nice of him to think of us! Overall, everything just went so smoothly (and I was nervous because this was our first holiday that we haven't organised ourselves) and we could truly just relax and enjoy ourselves! Thank you Aurora Zone for a fantastic and incredibly memorable holiday!!!!

A review of Inari – Auroras in the Sami Heartlands
General atmosphere was very relaxed and genuinely welcoming
The food was good home-cooking and I never came away feeling I needed more. The general atmosphere was very relaxed and genuinely welcoming. The evening snowshoe walk into the forest with our guide Ville - Wonderful.  Snowmobiling (was) much harder than I expected, and nothing like driving a car. But I'm glad I did it! Also, ice fishing is not something I would particularly want to do again, but the experience was interesting and our guide Marti was attentive and patient.

My trip to the Northern Lights
Fantastic holiday. All trips, transfers and flights went perfectly, no delays. Accommodation at Abisko was adequate, meals were first class, staff brilliant; could not do enough. The ICEHOTEL was unique but would advise just one night stay in ice room! Overall brilliant; hoping to go again.

Fabulous time in Torassieppi
Just wanted to say that we had a fabulous time in Torassieppi. The people there were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing, tasty and well presented, and plenty of it. The guides were very knowledgable, friendly & again, incredibly helpful. I really hope I can go back sometime! We were lucky enough to see some amazing Northern Lights shows, & have some beautiful photographs now.

A review of Torassieppi - Lakeside Auroras
Best holiday ever
Loved every second (well maybe not the cross-country skiing but I am glad I tried it!). Can't find a fault with anything. All my dreams came true with the best Aurora for 10 years according to most sources. Third time lucky as I had booked and had to cancel this holiday in two previous years in sad circumstances. Most enjoyable was snowmobiling at night, I had been nervous about snowmobiling and a bit horrified to be doing it the first time in the dark but when it came to it the dark added an air of excitement. I love being outside in the dark so all the night activities were my favourite.  Least enjoyable was cross-country skiing because I was rubbish at it and think the boots didn't help being soft. Starting out on a big hill didn't help! I found the 60 kilometre snowmobiling a bit long as I have weak arms and the snowmobiles are very heavy to handle.  The guides were great, especially Joonas. The kitchen did a great job of catering for our dietary needs. Best holiday ever.

A review of Nellim - Aurora in the Wild
Memorable and thoroughly enjoyable holiday
Activity guides were unfailingly enthusiastic, knowledgeable and friendly and helped us appreciate the features and qualities of the local area. Difficult to pick the most enjoyable (activity) from a succession of good experiences, though the Northern Lights themselves, at such a favourable time, have to be awarded the memorability prize. Husky safari, snowmobiling, both as drivers and sleigh ride in the dark to remote Kota for Aurora viewing, reindeer caravan, snowshoe walk all excellent. Don't feel able to pick anything out as less enjoyable. This was a memorable and thoroughly enjoyable holiday that we would not hesitate to recommend to others. It has stirred our interest in Luosto as both a winter holiday destination (ski, skidoo etc) and spring/early summer destination (hiking, wildlife etc) and also given us an appreciation of the Finnish way of life.

We had a fabulous time
Most enjoyable: Definitely the trip to the reindeer farm & the sleigh ride. We had a very frisky reindeer who thought it was a race! The husky safari was also excellent. Least enjoyable: All were very enjoyable, especially the Lappish dinner on the final night which was a lovely way to round off the holiday. The only thing that was not enjoyable was having four cloudy nights so no lights!! On the day we left, it suddenly was sunny & clear.............what a shame! Obviously, we shall just have to keep trying! We realise you have no control over this!! We had a fabulous time &, had the lights appeared, it would have been the icing on the cake.

Fantastic holiday package
A fanstastic holiday package. It provides a good set of activities within the four full days spent in Harriniva - snowmobile safari, snowshoeing, husky safari and the reindeer farm and off course the northern Light quest (and the Aurora alert). Equipment, all meals and transfer from airport to hotel (and hotel to airport) all included with a dedicated guide and tour rep; perfect receipe for an enjoyable, exciting and stressfree holiday.  Sue Adams, March 2015

Well organised and great fun
Always wanted to try (husky sledding) and it was well organised and great fun. Knowledgeable and helpful guides who wanted us to get the most from the experience. Don't undersell the cozy but comfortable Lodge as it's small size enhances the personal experience. The Lodge staff seemed genuinely interested in maximising our chances of seeing the Lights and enhancing the experience when we saw them.

Already planning our next trip
Hey all, Ok already told a couple of mates who were after info about the place! It was all very enjoyable we both thought! For myself the dogs where the best day and for Teresa the Northern Lights were the best thing. I have seen them many times before....but seeing them here was the best I'd seen! Thank you.  There wasn't one least enjoyable activity!!  We knew it would be hit or miss with the Northern Lights, but they came out in force for us....which was great. The staff are great and very helpful and hospitable, already planning our next trip.

Awesome
We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday as we had not done anything like this before. Karen and Graham who met us at the airport and looked after us through the holiday were excellent and the local guide Kaio, (not sure of the spelling) was lovely too. The hotel was lovely, room was comfortable and the food was excellent. Most enjoyed the dog sledding, something my husband has wanted to do for a long time & snowshoeing, something we had not done before and the reindeer sleigh. Everybody looked after us, from booking, through to the transfers, the hotel and local guides. I would use your company again. Even the lights came out for us after five days of cloud.... Awesome.

This holiday has been filled with life long memories
Spending seven nights in Torassieppi Reindeer Cabins was delightful. The staff were very helpful and welcoming to the guest. When I checked into my cabin the gentleman helped me with my luggage to my cabin. The cabins were spacious, clean, and warm. There was a huge closet with hangers and shelves to put clothes and other items in there. The entrance way had an area for your snow boots to keep the floor dry, and a coat rack with hangers to hang snowsuit, coats, etc.… The floors were heated for warmth under your feet. There was an electric teakettle in the room to make hot tea or instant coffee, with sugar and creamers. There was also a big table that could seat four, while looking at the views of Torassieppi. Our guide, Jarno was very knowledgeable in telling us about the photography, Arctic weather, Aurora forecast, wildlife, and any other questions the group had. If I were ever to be stranded, I would want Jarno to be with me with his wisdom on survival skills. Since we had a small group Jarno took us to a local store to go shopping for special knives, since one of our group members collects them. The lady at the store was very welcoming and even stayed open late for us. By the end of our trip Jarno was talking and joking with us as if we had known him for years. The food was satisfying and appetizing. In the morning and lunch there was a buffet table. For dinner it was a sit down three to four course gourmet meal. We had a wide variety of meats, which included fish, beef, and reindeer. I personally enjoyed the local cuisine. The clothes that were provided for cold weather were clean, warm, and in good condition. If any one had any problems we could just go in and exchange it for another size. I was content not having to pack all my ski clothing and to use the clothing provided. I would recommend using the clothing provided during the husky and reindeer trips because your clothes will get a little dirty. Another suggestion would be to pack plenty of toe and hand warmers not just for you, but also for the camera.
