An amazing holiday/experience - thank you!
The clouds pictured were polar stratospheric clouds which I'm told are highly unusual and was a real highlight of the trip as the locals ran out and grabbed their cameras to see them.

A holiday to treasure
We had a wonderful holiday at Torrassieppi. I can't thank you all enough. The setting by the lake was perfect as was the accommodation and all our activities. We were a large party, on holiday to celebrate my birthday and our experience far exceeded all our expectations. It was truly amazing. I cried on the mini bus going home because I didn't want the holiday to end. All the staff were excellent and we felt totally spoilt. We enjoyed all the activities and I am saving up my pennies to come back to do the husky safari as soon as possible. What a wonderful place. Thank you all so much. A holiday to treasure.

We had an amazing holiday
The equipment and clothes provided were excellent and perfect for the activities and weather. The activities were amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed all the activities, and also added a cross-country skiing lesson on a free day too. All of the tour guides were lovely, informative and very friendly. We had Hanna on several activities, and she put us at ease each time and made it very enjoyable. The guides are also a good source of local knowledge and wildlife. We had an amazing holiday, and would come back again! Thank you!

Excellent guides
The guides were really, really excellent - Lamu, Emmi, Kristin, Samson, etc. They know their stuff and they were good fun! Most enjoyable activity: Husky sledding!! The huskies were really raring to go and it was good fun driving the sled even though I fell off! No problem, though, the guide stopped the huskies, gave me some tips and had no problems after that! After husky sledding you get to spend a long time playing with the huskies and even some adorable puppies!

Awesome holiday!
We spent six fabulous nights at the Abisko Mountain Lodge and the holiday was more than we could ever have hoped for. With clear blue sky and sunshine during the day, clear sky at night and temperatures ranging from -16 to -30C for four days and nights it was nothing but magical! Most importantly, the Aurora Borealis appeared magnificently for the first four nights! Abisko Mountain Lodge, the staff, the food and all-round ambience were more than excellent. Each of the activities, snowshoe hike, snowmobile safari, dog sledding and ice fishing were awesome in their own right with the guides being superb in history, culture, wildlife and of course taking care of us with hot drinks and refreshments. Congratulations to all those involved and especially Aurora Zone for offering and organising such a superb holiday that was everything mentioned on your website.

A totally fantastic holiday
Gosh. Where to start. I think the daytime snowmobile was (the most enjoyable activity) just for the unexpected beauty of the ice trees on the tops. Not knowing that the air would change that evening and the whole resort and area became an ice forest spectacle. I also loved the cross-country skiing just for the racing heart and the exhilaration of mastering a new skill. Two guides stood out for us. Becky and Jenni - the 2 girls were great fun and when Jenni took us to the Reindeer Farm and gave us the history lesson she really spoke with knowledge and passion about the Finnish people and had a great sense of humour. Katrina as our welcome host was also a joy. You have a great team there and you should be proud of all that you offer. English were a minority which is such a shame and I am not sure why - a totally fantastic holiday. Scenes like I never thought I would ever witness and cold, gosh, who knew that it could actually get that cold and yet we still go out and enjoy ourselves.

I totally recommend it
This is one of the best vacations ever. Everything was good, from the moment I booked till I went back to London. No surprises, all activities were great. You are in the middle of nowhere and that's a nice feeling. You have to be patient to see the Auroras, the conditions have to be good so you can see them: clear sky and activity from the sun. Once you get to see them it is the best thing, we even saw the dancing ones. I was there 7 nights and only saw them one night. Take a good camera and remove the filters (if you have them on it) and you'll have great pictures but the most important thing is to enjoy the moment. The hotel facilities are good and the staff were really nice. The food was really good, I only didn't like the reindeer, they are nice as animals but not as food. I totally recommend it.

Difficult to improve on it really!
We’ve just returned and just wanted to thank you and say how brilliant everything was! The package basically ‘did what it said on the tin’! Absolutely brilliant. We had spectacular views of the Northern Lights (our main reason for going) and all of the activities were excellent. Everything went to plan, the staff at the hotel were very welcoming and friendly, the cuisine was first class. Difficult to improve on it really!

We hope we can go back in the not too distant future
We just wanted to email to thank all the team at The Aurora Zone for making our holiday to Torassieppi such a great time. We were very lucky and saw a spectacular show of Northern Lights. We also felt that all the activities were great fun. We were also very pleased with where we stayed, as it was a small resort which gave such personal service. So, thank you Barry for recommending Torassieppi to us.

Seeing the Northern Lights was amazing - (we had) a knock on the door at 3 am because the Aurora was moving - but getting up and getting dressed was worth it!! The activity that we enjoyed the most was dog sledding.

An unforgettable experience
This is the holiday for you if you are tired of tantalising tasters that always leave you wanting more - in this holiday you get a full dose of each activity. We would still like more but there is only so much that you can fit into a week and we had to come home for a rest! We were out on the snowmobiles for a full 8 hours and covered 84 km. We covered a real variety of terrain from ice lakes to steep mountains and tricky woods - all possible with our local guide. The two-day husky ride is also a proper immersion into being with these wonderful dogs in their natural habitat - you return to the hotel suitably tired but refreshed by this unforgettable experience. The Hotel Jeris is on the lake with a superb wood sauna, spa and other saunas - so ideal for plucking up courage for the challenge of swimming in the lake. Cross-country skiing is also straight from the hotel - across the lake for the absolute beginners or the more challenging undulations of the neighbouring national park if you feel so inclined. We were lucky to see the Northern Lights - apparently the best show all winter, so we felt very fortunate. We would recommend a lakeside cabin - the absolute peace and quiet of being wrapped up in a snow-covered landscape is truly memorable and the en-suite sauna means that there is no excuse for not embracing yet another new experience.

We loved experiencing everything
Dog sledding was great fun, we enjoyed it immensely. The dogs are happy and love to run, the scenery was beautiful, and driving the sled wasn't as difficult as it looks. We loved experiencing everything. The itinerary was well arranged; members of staff were very helpful. Although this was a very active holiday, it was also relaxing and we never felt rushed.

We would love to go back
We just wanted to e-mail you and the team at The Aurora Zone to say thank you for all your help with the planning of our holiday to Torassieppi. We had an amazing time; the staff were all very experienced and friendly and couldn’t do enough to make our stay memorable and welcoming. Torassieppi itself is very beautiful and peaceful in a perfect location and we were so lucky as the Northern Lights came out to play one evening, which was spectacular. We enjoyed all our activities, the guides were very friendly, enthusiastic and extremely helpful and knowledgeable, the husky sledding was fantastic and probably our favourite activity, although the Aurora Dome was amazing. The Restaurant was very welcoming and warm and we enjoyed spending time eating and drinking by the log burner. We did have an amazing time and fell in love with Toressieppi and its very friendly people.

Had an awesome time
The meals were excellent. We got to try a variety of Swedish food and everything was tasty and well presented. Loved the dog sledding - a real Arctic experience on a beautiful day. Overall this holiday fulfilled our expectations. We got to experience a range of activities and temps down to minus 20, saw the Aurora, ate delicious food, and had an awesome time.

An absolutely amazing experience!
The hotel was well-equipped, warm and comfortable. Staff were delightful, friendly and helpful. Ella in particular - a 'Jill of all trades' flitting from receptionist to waitress to bartender to chambermaid (wouldn't have been surprised if she drove the snow plough but we weren't up early enough to see that!). I would describe the ambience as homely and relaxed. Rooms were functional - well heated (a bit too much for us - can't believe we slept with the window open at such extreme sub-zero temperatures!). Comfortable beds and spotless bathrooms with an individual sauna. Food - quality was excellent. It exceeded our expectations (especially the reindeer sirloin). On most evenings we were tempted to lick our plates ;-). The young reindeer farmer who spoke after the reindeer safari was excellent. He spoke with such feeling about his work and his life in Lapland. The equipment provided was top-notch. It made the holiday so much easier because we didn't have the worry (or expense) of ensuring we were properly kitted out. A particular bonus was that when our overalls and gloves got wet after a sweaty day's snowshoeing, we were able to swap them for fresh, dry kit to enable us to go out aurora-hunting in the evening. Without a doubt, the most enjoyable activity was the husky safari. We didn't originally plan to do it - neither of us being 'doggy' people, and also a little bit concerned about driving the sled ourselves. However, it was an absolutely amazing experience! The dogs were so eager to get going, jumping around and barking like crazy. When they were finally set free they went like the wind. My initial surge of terror was soon replaced by a feeling of awe, dashing through the snowy forest by this age-old method of transport. Magical! We had such a fabulous time and are already planning a further trip with the company next year. By the way, we would like to give a special mention to our rep Greta who was so helpful and went out of her way to make sure we had a great time. Thank you!
