I am writing to thank you for the awesome time I had at Brandon Lodge and for your exemplary efforts and meticulous attention to detail. Our break was extraordinary, and the hospitality was second to none. Please pass my warmest regards to Goran, Graham, Shane, Keo and all the others that endeavoured to make our holiday so memorable.

Overall we had a wonderful holiday even though we didn't see the Northern Lights! We are planning to go back next year in February and will definitely use you again for the trip.

It was all great but if I had to pick (a favourite activity) it would be the husky safari. Johnny and Anthony were fantastic reps, really a credit to the hotel.

From the moment my husband and I stepped off the plane at Ivalo airport we were provided with excellent service and advice by the many staff at the Northern Lights Village, Saariselkä. Every detail of our pre-booked activities was provided, and the snowsuits were comfortable and extremely warm. I have osteoarthritis which can be affected by the cold but was not at all during the trip. The accommodation was very clean and beautifully laid out. Lying at night under the glass roof in the cosy warmth of our cabin, watching the snow fall around the cabins and trees, was sublime. The reindeer sleigh rides were informative and made me feel I was in a film! The beauty of the village was almost unreal. Although I fell off the husky sled whilst driving, I did not hurt myself due to landing in the four feet of snow by the side of the track, and it was thrilling and such an adrenalin rush to drive I wanted to do it again straight away. We were lucky enough to be the only two for the Siida Museum trip and our guide, Yuka, was very well-informed and solicitous of our comfort. Quite simply put, there is nothing that could have been improved about our whole experience. The trip was a dream from start to finish.

Seeing the Northern Lights 5days in a row, it was just magical!

Wow! I'm tempted to leave it at that. Six nights at Abisko Mountain Lodge - other than the smallish room and twin beds (which we knew about in advance) we have nothing but praise. Comfy, really great local food, attentive service and a good location. We had a good dollop of luck: 5 nights of Auroras, settled clear weather, beautiful sunny days. The husky tour in the park was fantastic - though, as they've not had much snow and wooden dog sleds are unforgiving, it was very bumpy. The evening photography session was so useful. The pro-photographer, Kyle, was a fantastic source of knowledge. Two or so hours flew by and then I had to be frog-marched back! The picture below has not been photoshopped. The pink/red on the snow was caused by a head torch and a fire burning inside a Lavvu. The visit to the Sami was an eye-opener. Playing with reindeer, sledding, swapping stores in the Lavvu - all wonderful. However, as seems to be a familiar story the world over, they are a troubled indigenous people. We were fortunate, in a way, as there was a Swedish couple on the tour who knew the right questions to ask - and then the rest of us started learning.

The remoteness, small size and the fantastic staff make a visit to Torassieppi very special. This is the first time we have ever been back to the same place twice and it was just as special the second time! It's a truly magical place where you can relax and have fun. The staff really make it and they were brilliant. We've already made special mention of Kristiina but Nico, Sonya, Carly and everyone else were delightful. No hesitation in recommending Torasieppi and, who knows, we may do a 3rd trip!

Despite our only getting to see the aurora borealis on our last evening as the weather was cloudy for the rest of the week, we were totally blown away by the holiday. It exceeded our expectations in many ways. Jenni and Anna, our reps were outstanding and couldn't have made us feel more welcome or have been more helpful. They are great ambassadors for Aurora Zone. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful as were the staff at Lapland Safaris. The husky safari was as good as the hype. It was thrilling and the knowledge and enthusiasm of the team at the husky farm was outstanding. We also really enjoyed the Wilderness Kota meal. The food was fantastic, our hosts were very pleasant and the company of the other guests present was excellent.  

Overall an excellent holiday. The location and activities were excellent.

The holiday was a dream come true. We didn't see the lights but that was ok as the rest of the activities and accommodation were great fun and you almost forgot you were there to see the lights. I loved the snow mobiles, we were lucky enough to be just my partner and I with the guide and we got to stop and start as we pleased. it was fantastic. My partner loved the husky's - very enjoyable

What a brilliant week we had. An unforgettable holiday. The Art Suite was definitely a 'one-off' experience! Thanks to you all for your advice, help and making it a really special 'tailor-made' holiday. We're even thinking of a trip next winter to Finland...! Thanks again. It really was a 5* experience.

Our hosts were friendly and welcoming and the hotel was situated perfectly if you love peace and tranquillity. The social aspect of the holiday was sitting around at meal times with our slippers on and generally just relaxing and chilling out. We loved the reindeer farm, our host was excellent, he went to school at what is now our hotel Korpikartano and it was obvious that the reindeer, the land and his family are his life. We also loved the husky safari and of course the snowmobiles.

Highly recommend anyone to use The Aurora Zone when booking a holiday. Very helpful knowledgeable staff who give it the personal touch. Dog sledding was the most fun. The dogs were lovely and the staff made us feel very welcome. Would love to go back again maybe in the summer for a different type of holiday. Would also look to go on the same type of holiday in a different country to see those pesky Northern Lights!

An all-round exceptional experience from booking to the final transfer.

The husky driving. Out of the ordinary, fast and the huskies are gorgeous. I would like to thank you-you all for the personal touches during our communications for the build-up to our holiday. Everything went smoothly. A huge thank you for organising my birthday cake and the bottle of wine I received as a gift from you all. My birthday was amazingly different and enjoyable. Thank you all so much.

The trip was excellently well organized and the activities very interesting and enjoyable. The friendliness and helpfulness of all the people we met was exemplary. We had a great time and everything lived up to expectations. Thank you very much for arranging such a great and memorable trip!

We had a wonderful time, a magical experience in the Finnish winter wonderland. The activities were fun and unusual and the guides were enthusiastic about the natural world. I loved all the activities. It was such a special and different thing to do and the activities suited the age range in our family group of 4, from 26 to 60.

Overall an excellent trip; we saw the Aurora every night - it was magical. The guides at Muotka were fabulous, friendly and helpful. The hotel was warm and extremely comfortable, with great staff.

I loved my Aurora Zone trip to Nellim. Snowmobiling, snowshoeing, reindeer visiting, ice fishing, sitting by a fire in the wilderness watching the snowfall one night and the skies ablaze with stars, a rising moon AND the Aurora dancing across the sky! The lodge was excellent. Felt very authentic. Food was excellent. The guides were full of great information, took great care of every individual in the small groups. The only thing I missed was the dog sled adventure, but I just ran out of time. Good reason to come back!! They were very accommodating to everyone's particular needs and times of arrivals/departures. The location of the lodge was far away from any other lodge so you weren't running into other groups. You were very secluded!! I would highly recommend The Aurora Zone.

Everything exceeded our expectations and will definitely recommend this trip. Great holiday, well organised and really appreciated one small group for the activities. Hotel was Lovely and all the staff were friendly, informative and helpful - it didn’t feel like a hotel it was very welcoming and relaxed.

An excellent holiday with good food and good equipment provided. Booking and information provided was very good.

All activities were enjoyed

We originally booked to see the Northern Lights but that became secondary to all the great activities. We did see the lights just not in full technicolour.... Next time... All our guides were great, friendly, helpful and worked really hard to ensure everything ran as smoothly as possible. We had a couple of extremely cold days (-35 ish) and the guides ensured we kept moving to warm up and checked on us frequently. In addition, flights with Finnair were great. Good service, on time, clean and friendly.

The entire experience was truly phenomenal from start to finish. The sales team were helpful, patient and incredibly knowledgeable, and that is before we had even arrived in Finland. It was genuinely one of the most special and memorable trips we have ever taken and could not recommend The Aurora Zone enough.

Muotka was amazing. The whole trip was faultless and we’re grateful for Barry Nolan giving us great advice on our room choice - the log cabin was perfect for us. Also, Matt the rep was brilliant whilst we were out aurora hunting - his knowledge was exceptional! All of the guides were extremely friendly and welcoming making each activity truly memorable. The icing on the cake was seeing the northern lights but even if we hadn’t the trip would have still been amazing.

Couldn't fault anything. Hotel was great. Staff friendly and helpful, food very tasty and rooms clean and warm. Snow suits and boots excellent. Activity guides were brilliant very knowledgeable and informative. Activities were great fun there wasn't anything I didn't enjoy..
