They really make the holiday even more special
We thoroughly enjoyed the other activities we took part in, husky safari, snowmobiles and aurora workshop. All our guides were so knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Plus we treated to a full aurora display as we snowmobiled on our last night. The hotel staff, guides and Greta were all extremely friendly and helpful. They really make the holiday even more special, if that's possible!

The Muotka hotel is amazing
The Muotka hotel is amazing, the people that are working are very nice. Special mention to Matt, the aurora zone representative: he is very nice and the organization of the activities, groups, info, and kindness made the Muotkan experience quite pleasant. The local guides Yanni, Tia and Matt are also amazing people, kind, funny.

Magical Muotka
Just returned from a week at Muotka Wilderness Lodge. Truly magical experience. I felt like I was in fairyland. The snow glistens and looks like glitter falling from the sky. We saw the Northern Lights on 4 nights in a row. They were amazing. The hotel is in a lovely location surrounded by forest. Plenty trails for you to spend your downtime walking, skiing, snowshoeing or whatever you want to do. The itinerary was carefully thought out as we spent plenty time on activities but also had plenty of time to rest, have a sauna and generally do what we wanted. The hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful and the guides were excellent. Would definitely recommend Muotka.

The guides were brilliant.
The guides were brilliant. Knowledgeable and patient. Impressed by how well they looked after us all. The hotel comfortable, basic but with everything one needs. Gear a little tired and large mittens pretty useless and cumbersome. Food excellent. I would definitely go back (as we didn't see any lights), however, there was so much to do in the time we had, that I didn't feel too disappointed.

Fantastic holiday
Fantastic holiday. We were really lucky to see the Northern Lights at their dancing best, and the introductory walk was really helpful in helping us know where to view them from. Husky riding is the most amazing experience and the one you should do if no others (one rides on the back and is reasonably active, while other sits on sled). Snowmobiling also really good fun. Both take some physical strength from the driver, but not much. The rest of the time we just chilled out, took one of the many walks in the valley ourselves and explored local restaurants. Transfers were very efficient and comfortable. Thoroughly recommended!

It was an awesome holiday; very well arranged. Thank you.
Classic Golden Circle tour was the best. It was day long tour of some of the best sights of Iceland and our guide and coach driver were great. The Blue Lagoon Geothermal Spa was well planned at the end of the hectic 2 days of tours to help us relax. The Northern Lights Inn was one of the best places we have ever stayed at.

Had a fantastic holiday.
Hotel and facilities were excellent. Staff very friendly. Really appreciated the warm gear as extremely cold on the night activities. Loved the husky sledding. Great experience. Interesting to learn about the dogs and to see the puppies after sledding on the frozen lake. Had a fantastic holiday. Lucky enough to see the Northern lights on 2 consecutive nights at the hotel. Absolutely brilliant. The holiday is active pace but there is still plenty of time to relax at the hotel/ have a sauna/ walk into the village between all the planned activities.

Everything from start to finish in relation to this holiday was first class.
I have to say that everything from start to finish in relation to this holiday was first class. The booking procedure was pain-free, the pre-holiday information and portal were incredibly useful. The accommodation was first class and the staff were always on hand to help. The food was brilliant and the activities were just fabulous. To top it off, we saw the Northern Lights really well on 2 nights.

We did enjoy the trip a lot
Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We saw Timo twice and he was friendly but did not see the owner, Anne. Overall the activities were very good and the care over the provision of warm clothing etc was excellent. The Aurora briefing was very good too. Apart from the Aurora, the reindeer herder visit was great. Fascinating insights and a well informed and engaged guide. Overall, we did enjoy the trip a lot and felt the balance of activities and free time was good. And we were lucky enough to see the aurora 3 nights out of 4!

A review of Menesjärvi - Wilderness Auroras
The holiday was absolutely fantastic
The holiday was absolutely fantastic; I cannot recommend it enough. We were cautioned from the very outset that there was no guarantee we would see the Northern Lights and I think this was fair as our expectations were realistic. However, we did see the Northern Lights on two evenings out of six. That said the activities and culture of Inari meant the holiday meant so much more than just the Northern Lights. Yes, it would have been disappointing if we had not seen them but not a complete disaster as the activities would have made up for it somewhat. I really enjoyed the dog sledging; it was fast paced I really couldn't believe that they let me take control of a sledge on my own!! It was a little scary as I hadn't done anything like that before but they were really clear with the instructions and reassuring that the dogs knew where they were going. I would really like to thank the staff at the Kultahovi Hotel for making us feel most welcome. The food there is outstanding and the staff are keen to talk to you about its origins, local customs and make recommendations both food and activity wise. The room was excellent and very well maintained throughout our trip. The guides for the snowmobiling and particularly the snowshoe excursion were excellent - very helpful, informative (about everything from local nature, culture and Aurora). I would especially like to thank the snowshoe guide who extended our excursion slightly so we could take in the Northern Lights even though he had already done a very long day's work and it delayed us. He remained positive and seemed to understand that it wasn't something we witnessed every day.

Fabulous holiday
The hotel was very welcoming with large, comfortable and warm rooms. The food was tasty with several Finnish dishes which were just what we needed after the activities. The staff were helpful and our activity guide Mathius was outstanding being caring and thoughtful and explaining everything very well. All the activities were well planned. We really enjoyed the reindeer herding: being in the forest drinking freshly brewed coffee surrounded by wild reindeer and listening to tales of Sámi life. The weather was fabulous with 4 days of cold (minus 34 at the lowest) bright sunshine and clear nights and what's more the Aurora made an appearance on 3 of the 4 nights.

I was VERY impressed
I was very impressed with the efficiency of staff. All transfers were well planned. Every activity was well thought out and on time. The food in Harrinava was just lovely. I was VERY impressed, always a hearty meal. At no time was I hungry or felt the need to snack. I think what impressed me the most was the sheer enthusiasm of the guides. It was stunningly obvious that they all really enjoyed the activity they were leading on and that enthusiasm was infectious. Especially the guide who took us snow shoe walking: she was even hugging the trees which made me smile!!!!!
