As it was our 30th-anniversary last year we decided to do something completely outside our comfort zone. Booking through The Aurora Zone was easy and their knowledgeable staff helped at every stage. Torassieppi is a perfect location on the frozen lake with plenty of activities to keep most people busy. -33 when we arrived and on our first adventure next day, husky dog sledging. Absolutely brilliant. We embraced everything on the full agenda prepared by The Aurora Zone covering cross country skiing, Lapland crafts lots of Aurora outdoor activities too, including campfire, reindeer sleigh ride and snowshoe adventure. There are too many activities to mention here but The Aurora Zone can tailor the package to suit. Katrina our rep was available to us daily and was friendly and very helpful. An excellent rep. The food is excellent, three meals a day and more than enough for us. Quality was excellent and the staff at Torassieppi are always willing to help, are friendly and efficient. This was all topped off by three nights of Aurora activity. Seeing the Northern Lights was the cherry on the cake but cannot be guaranteed. Mother Nature can be fickle. In short a wonderful adventure through a great company with lovely people.

In no particular order; the guides were full of really interesting info and happy to chat with us; the scenery was outstanding, breathtaking, peaceful; the food was great, filling, warm and lots; the interior of the hotel was cosy, lovely lighting and roaring fires; the group activities were fun, even with differing ages/abilities in the group; being able to take the equipment out whenever we wanted to with no extra charge was great, so we did cross-country skiing three times; transfers were like clockwork, there was no waiting around anywhere, except to see the lights!; we saw the lights on 2 of 4 nights, which was enough for us! The trip for us was very expensive and the first time we have done a fully organised holiday, but it was totally the right decision. Having it all arranged, told when to do what was great, a real change for us. Met some great people, a real mix. And finally, the organisation pre-trip from The Aurora Zone was fantastic, easy, detailed, I knew what to take, where to go and it felt super easy. Thank you to your guys and thank you to the Muotka crew who made this trip for my and my husband’s 40th birthdays a totally amazing trip that we will never forget. We have travelled loads, but this felt really special.

Everything was really good, room was clean, tidy and warm. All the staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Plenty of food never felt hungry and lots of choice for drinks, etc. Menu was so varied we never got bored - we loved the food! Overall experience was great. We really enjoyed the husky sledging, it's something we have always wanted to do and you got a good long turn each at driving the sleigh. We also really loved the snow shoe trek, Jonny was our guide and his facts about the wildlife and Finnish life were really interesting, plus the reindeer pitta we had for lunch was very tasty!

The husky safari was the best. 7km was a bit short for us - but to be fair, without ant prior knowledge and such a short break this is nit picking. Overall it was excellent. The guides were great - and passionate about what they do and most engaging. What was good about this selection of activities over a short timeframe is that we know now what to do more of and less of the next time, because we will be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed the trip and will certainly be recommending it most highly. We're already sharing photos on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

The local rep, Hannahbella, was brilliant - please pass on our thanks to her for making a great holiday even better. Hotel was comfortable and well-located. All the guides were friendly and well-informed, special thanks to Bjorn, Anthony, Astrid and Kimmo. We found everything straightforward which was important to us as this was our first package holiday and our first flying experience for over 20 years. Seeing the aurora and the 2 camps we did (by bus and by snowmobile sledge), so fabulous to see the lights in small groups with a welcome camp fire to warm yourself around. The husky sledging and visit to the husky farm is a very close second because it was so exhilarating. It's hard to rate them as we loved the gentle snow-shoeing as well.

Our visit to Abisko was one of the best travel experiences we have ever had. Everything went perfectly. and we had an amazing time at the Abisko Mountain Lodge. The staff there were all magnificent and incredibly helpful and friendly. We were very comfortable and the food was superb. The Aurora Zone did a fantastic job in advising us and putting everything together including the activities while we were there. They also organised the flights from the UK to Kiruna and the very efficient transfers to and from Abisko and everything went very smoothly. The activities were brilliant, especially dog sledding, snowmobiling and snowshoeing, and all were completed without mishap thanks to excellent guides and we had beautiful views of the aurora on two consecutive nights. It was a brilliant trip, finished off with two days in Stockholm, and we unconditionally recommend The Aurora Zone to anyone thinking of an Arctic adventure.

We have just returned from our week in Sweden. It has been absolutely wonderful and met all our expectations. Everything went perfectly and we had no problems at all. The Abisko Mountain Lodge was brilliant and we were very impressed with the service and attention we received from Nicklas, the manager, and all the staff. The food was superb and of very high quality and skill .We also enjoyed the comfortable lounge area , meeting fellow visitors. Our bedroom was small but comfortable and warm and we were very happy with it. The activities were all very successful with excellent guides . We did dog-sledding, snow shoeing, snowmobiling , escorted walks , nighttime sleigh ride and a visit to the sky station. All were expertly organised, very interesting and great fun . The landscape around Abisko is amazing and we were lucky with the weather. It was incredibly cold, never higher than -20C and as low as -31C but dry and bright with great views and starry nights. We were lucky to have really good views of the aurora one night and less strong displays on two other nights, (It was overcast on the last night) . Apparently the aurora was particularly spectacular the night before we arrived ! Thank you for your part in arranging this amazing holiday. The transfers to and from Kiruna and the flights were great. We also had two very rewarding days in Stockholm on the way home.The information you provided was spot on and very helpful and the special clothing provided at Abisko was essential and very effective. We will have no hesitation in recommending The Aurora Zone.

The nighttime snowmobiling trip was stunning, we stopped in a moonlit clearing to watch the Aurora and then a herd of Reindeer joined us, it was truly magical. The Aurora the following night were spectacular - the most awe-inspiring thing I've ever seen. The husky sledding, so peaceful and beautiful out on the frozen lake.  Thank you, I can't wait to go back to Northern Finland, it is such a beautiful place.

Husky dog driving it was the best experience I have ever had in my life the guide and his wife and dogs were amazing. The whole experience was amazing loved every minute , food was home made, gluten free choice was outstanding, hotel clean, staff friendly and helpful, I want to go and do it all again.

We had a fantastic trip to Rovaniemi with Aurora Zone. The accommodation was stunning with wonderful food. We really enjoyed the activities and we found the company Wild Nordic to be wonderful! We purchased an additional activity which I believe was called Husky mans camp. This included a snow mobile ride where we both got the opportunity to drive and then a sled ride pulled by huskys which was great fun! We had a fantastic trip. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We really loved our time, even better our flight was delayed by 24hours which meant we got to see the Northern lights on that final night!

This was an excellent holiday. The guides were very enthusiastic and knew their stuff. They were very kind and helpful as well. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful.

Overall a great trip. 3 nights seeing the aurora also made the week special.

Managed to witness the Aurora for 2 nights, strongly believe Hotel Korpikartano has the best location (best spot) for chasing the Northern Lights. Special thanks to the hotel staff member James on his kind assistance on re-arranging the snowmobiling for me.

Loved all the activities, especially nice to be kept with the same group of people for each activity. Especially enjoyed the huskies and the 'fire making' competitions between the guides! Feel extremely lucky not only to have seen the Aurora but the blood moon and fantastic sunrise as well. Guides were very friendly and well informed, accommodation clean and well presented and food excellent.

We were incredibly lucky to see the Northern Lights on 3 nights with a phenomenal display on our final night. It was everything we had hoped for.

We had a wonderful holiday and loved the Aurora Cabins. The sparkling wine in our cabin when we arrived to mark my wife's Birthday was a lovely touch. Thank you.

The overall process was very easy and very well organized. Our patrons had lots of fun, we'll try to do it next year too.

The holiday was amazing, the Apukka resort is a wonderful place to stay, friendly helpful people that went over and above to make our stay enjoyable.

It was a lovely break even though I didn't see the northern lights, and I am already thinking about going back next year.

Just wanted to drop you a line to say thanks for helping us book the recent winter activity trip to Muotka. We had a fabulous time and we both managed to do all the activities and see the Northern Lights on 2 of the 4 nights we were there! I’ve attached one of the night shots taken during our trip. I’ve already recommended you to a couple of friends. A bit of constructive feedback for those with lower back issues like me…. Obviously, every individual has to assess the risk but I thought I would pass on my views. I found that riding pillion on the snowmobile was better than driving for 2 reasons: the side handles and backrest can be used to brace yourself over the bumpy ground, so I found it possible to participate quite easily and without too much trouble. I found that the fact I stood up to drive the husky sled meant there was no pressure on my lower back, as with the snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. If the client was in any doubt, I would suggest they schedule a short snowmobile trip first up in the trip as a taster of what it’s like before plunging into the all-day run to the reindeer farm! I hope this feedback helps other similarly afflicted clients with their decision.

Our first trip to Finland was amazing and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves even though we didn’t see the Northern Lights. The hotel and excursion staff were all knowledgeable and friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

Everything we did was enjoyable to me since I'd never done some of the activities before (like cross country skiing and snow shoeing and dog sledding!) Loved this trip and am looking forward to a another one just like it next winter!

The staff at all resorts were good. We particularly liked Muotka Lodge. We enjoyed all of the activities but the highlight had to be the three sightings of the Aurora.

Unfortunately, we didn't see the Aurora but we cannot complain as we had a great time. The guides' knowledge about wildlife, the local area and their activity was super.

There's not much to say - the holiday was perfect in every way. The friendliness of the Finnish people, the warmth of their welcome and the standard of their care - all excellent.

The whole stay was fantastic from start to finish. A special thank you to Kirsten and Jarmo who took us on our activities which were fabulous thanks to their knowledge and friendliness.

Husky driving. Stunning, experience. People were so good with their Huskies, confident to set us off and allow us to be "free" of usual constraints whilst driving animals and sledges. The day was perfect and the morning session in daylight over frozen lake Inari - unforgettable...
