About Harads
Harads is a small village in Swedish Lapland, surrounded by forest and set close to the Lule River.
It is not a major resort and that is not why people travel here.
The area has become known internationally because of the unusual accommodation hidden in the surrounding landscape, most notably Treehotel and Arctic Bath.

Treehotel takes the idea of a treehouse and hands it to some of Scandinavia’s leading architects.
Rooms include the Bird’s Nest, Mirrorcube, UFO and newer Biosphere, each suspended or elevated amongst the forest canopy.
Nearby Arctic Bath takes an equally unusual approach, with a circular building inspired by timber-floating history that sits on the Lule River and freezes into place in winter. Spa facilities, saunas and locally focused food give the stay a much stronger wellbeing element.
For something far more private, Loggers Lodge is a single-cabin exclusive-use wilderness retreat, while Arctic Retreat has just a handful of log cabins beside the Råne River.
All four put you well away from major population centres, so the Northern Lights remain a genuine part of the experience rather than an afterthought.

Treehotel
Treehotel is quite unlike anywhere else in the world.
Each room is architecturally different and elevated amongst the trees, making the accommodation itself part of the reason for travelling.
Best for: design, special occasions, couples and multi-centre Sweden journeys.
Arctic Bath
Arctic Bath sits on the Lule River and combines unusual architecture with a strong focus on sauna, spa and Nordic wellbeing.
Best for: couples, wellness, architecture and travellers who want a slower pace.
Arctic Retreat
Arctic Retreat consists of a small number of traditional log cabins beside the Råne River, each with panoramic windows, fireplaces and private outdoor hot tubs. Meals focus on locally sourced ingredients and winter activities can be tailored around the stay.
Best for: couples, families, private groups and travellers who want a secluded cabin without disappearing entirely off-grid.
Loggers Lodge
Loggers Lodge is the most private option of the lot.
The entire lodge is booked for exclusive use, with private dining, sauna, outdoor hot tub and a choice of activities such as snowmobiling, snowshoeing, skiing and Northern Lights searches.
Best for: couples, special occasions, privacy and travellers who want the whole place to themselves.
