This mini-expedition will take you into the stunning snowy plains to appreciate the scale of the winter environment. The dogs are likely to be loud and excitable before you set off, but once they settle into their pace, this becomes a relaxing way to appreciate the serenity of the surroundings.

This evening activity takes you into the hidden wilderness areas of Juk­kasjärvi to get you away from any light pollution and into darker skies, ready for a potential Northern Lights display. While you wait in anticipation, your expert local guide will teach you the basics of nighttime photography and how to capture the Northern Lights on camera. Warm drinks are also included.

Photography enthusiasts or those who simply want to see more of the stunning landscape and wildlife will love this nature photography tour into the surrounding wilderness.

The activity starts with a minivan transfer and your first stop will be all about familiarising yourself with the camera and your surroundings with the assistance of your guide.  

Once you're comfortable with getting a great shot, the tour will move on to find the most photogenic locations and hopefully, some Arctic animals will make an appearance too.

Combine two of the Arctic's most-loved activities when you take your own team of sled dogs on an overnight Aurora hunting adventure.

This mini-expedition starts with a transfer to the husky kennel, where you will meet with your loyal team.

After full instructions and a safety briefing, you will step into the role of musher and head out into the winter wilds.

Your destination is a secluded wilderness camp with welcoming cabins that are situated far away from light pollution and in prime Northern Lights territory. Upon arrival, you can unwind in the traditional sauna before enjoying a three -course dinner. Throughout the evening, make sure you're keeping an eye on the sky for a potential display.

The cabins are simple yet cosy retreats in the Arctic wilds and come equipped with a shared double room. In the morning, you will be served breakfast and then help to harness the dogs before driving your team back to the kennels.

Duration: 3:30pm - 11am

Please note: you will also keep your room at the Icehotel during your overnight stay. Minimum age 15.

During this trip, you will get to try your hand as a musher, driving your own team of dogs further into the winter wilderness. This mini-expedition starts with a transfer to the husky kennel, where the dogs will more than likely be barking with excitement to get on the trails.

After a full safety briefing and instructions, you will stand on your sled behind your team of dogs and set off with the guide leading the way into the wilds. Halfway, you'll stop at a cosy cabin for a traditional lunch and then you will drive your team back to the kennels where you can help unharness the loyal dogs and take some pictures with them.

Combine snowmobiling with the dreamy display of the Northern Lights in this exhilarating adventure. Drive a snowmobile through the Arctic in the evening while in search of the Northern Lights; hopefully you will be in luck tonight. Your guide will lead you through the blanket white wilderness of the Alta River valley, ascending to the inland plateau where minimal light pollution increases your chances of witnessing the majestic Aurora Borealis. Enjoy an interesting, scientific explanation behind the Northern Lights from your guide offering insight what makes these lights so stunning. Along the journey, your guide will also share captivating tales and myths, including Norwegian folklore where the Aurora Borealis is thought to be the heavenly dance of old maids' souls. Join us on a snowmobile trip to Finnmarksvidda, where you can wave and dance with the enchanting natural spectacle.

Following full tuition, you will travel two per snowmobile with the opportunity to swap drivers along the way. Please note, you must be at least 18 years old and hold a full driving licence to drive a snowmobile.

Minimum age for participation is 12 years.

Duration: 2.5 hours

Drive a snowmobile through the snow covered forests of Swedish Lapland, and if that is not enough to make you feel just like a local, why not try your hand at ice fishing and hope for some grilled fish as your reward. After about an hour of snowmobiling, you will arrive at Camp Luspen. Here you will get an overview of how ice fishing works before trying your luck, after drilling a hole through the metre thick ice. While you enjoy the fishing your guide will prepare lunch over an open fire – including anything you catch!

You will travel two per snowmobile with the opportunity to swap drivers. Please note, you must be at least 18 years old and hold a full driving licence to drive a snowmobile.
