By day, the surrounding winter wonderland beckons with thrilling outdoor adventures. Snowshoe through pristine forests, glide across frozen lakes on a sled, or embark on exhilarating husky safaris across vast stretches of snow-covered terrain.
By night, the magic truly begins. Enjoy activities under the Aurora, and afterwards retreat to the comfort of your Kota, the glass ceiling above allows you to gaze directly into the night sky, where the Northern Lights often dance in vibrant hues of green, purple, and pink. There's nothing quite like witnessing this natural light show from the warmth of your own private cabin. It's a mesmerizing and tranquil experience.
Throughout your stay, you'll have plenty of opportunities to discover local culture and traditions, perhaps meeting the Sámi people who have lived here for centuries, learning about their ancient practices of reindeer herding, or sampling the delicious regional cuisine that reflects the land's rugged beauty and the simplicity of life in the far north.

Itinerary
Upon arrival at Kittila airport, your driver will meet and greet you before transferring you to Nivunki Village. The journey takes approximately one hour and once you reach the Nivunki Village you can check in and settle into your accommodation before enjoying a delicious evening meal in the inviting restaurant. Relax and unwind on your first night, before adventure awaits tomorrow.

Your first morning at Nivunki begins with a hearty buffet breakfast, before heading out to meet the huskies! Let them lead the way, as they take you deep into the arctic wilderness accompanied by an experienced local musher. Before you head out, you will be given a safety briefing before adopting a team of eager Huskies. Half way through your snowy safari you will stop at a traditional Lappish hut for a local snack and hot drink. During your wholesome snack stop, you will get to learn all about your furry arctic friends. As your thrilling safari ends, you will head back to the husky farm where the dogs can get some rest.
Explore Nivunki Village and rest up before your Aurora Trek, later this evening.
You can’t come to Finland without embarking on a snow shoeing adventure, especially when under the Aurora! Enjoy a peaceful Trek into the wilderness, near the shores of Lake Nivunki. Hopefully along the way you are gifted by the wonder of the Northern Lights, along side a warming hot drink before heading back to the village.

Today, you will get to meet Nivunki Villages most famous residents, the mighty reindeer, all 100 of them! Step back in time and venture out of the village by reindeer sled, take in the surrounding landscape with only the sound of reindeer hooves pressing the snow as interruption. Along the way your local guide will tell tales of ancient times and the ever-lasting relationship between the local people and their reindeer.
This Afternoon enjoy a tranquil 1 hour sauna experience, before enjoying a dinner before retiring to your Kota hut, where you may be awarded again by a natural light show from above, whether that be the Northern Lights or millions of dancing stars.

This morning, enjoy a tasty breakfast and a free morning* before your final adventure begins at Nivunki. So far you have already completed the holy trinity of Scandinavian activities, but to not take part in a thrilling Snowmobile tour under the majesty of Fell Sarkitunturi and hopefully under the Northern Lights would be a crime!
This evening, get one last chance of viewing the Aurora before heading home tomorrow. Enjoy unpolluted skies and serene landscapes alongside the thrill of the snowmobile as it drives you across the snow, a truly unforgettable arctic experience and an amazing way to end your holiday.

After a Scandinavian adventure like no other, whilst staying in a uniquely cozy Kota glass hut, its unfortunately time to end. Following breakfast, you will be transferred to Kittila International Airport for your return flight home.

You will stay in accommodation like no other, a Northern lights hut adorned with huge glass windows across the ceiling, making Northern Lights viewing more comfortable than ever before. The story behind these incredible huts is one of great tradition. Kotas where the dwelling of local Sami people for generations, back then they were made from materials found in local forests. Your Kota may have a modern twist to make Northern lights viewing more achievable, but you will undoubtably still experience the essence of tradition during your 4 nights stay at Nivunki.
Your Kota will house a double bed, bathroom with shower, plush bathrobes, a minibar as well as a coffee and tea maker, the ideal facility when venturing in from out of the cold!
Whilst at Nivunki you will also enjoy Breakfast and Dinner as part of your package, each meal celebrating local ingredients and cooked using authentic methods such as smoking, in a cozy rustic environment.
