Upon arrival at Kittila airport, your driver will meet and greet you before transferring you to Nivunki Village. The journey is approximately one hour and once you reach the hotel, you can check in and settle into your accommodation before enjoying a delicious evening meal in the inviting restaurant.

Sadly, your time at Nivunki has come to an end. Following breakfast, you will be transferred to Kittila International Airport for your return flight home.

You will stay in accommodation like no other, a Northern lights hut adorned with huge glass windows across the ceiling, making Northern Lights viewing more comfortable than ever before. The story behind these incredible huts is one of great tradition. Kotas where the dwelling of local Sami people for generations, back then they were made from materials found in local forests. Your Kota may have a modern twist to make Northern lights viewing more achievable, but you will undoubtably still experience the essence of tradition during your 4 nights stay at Nivunki.
Your Kota will house a double bed, bathroom with shower, plush bathrobes, a minibar as well as a coffee and tea maker, the ideal facility when venturing in from out of the cold!
Whilst at Nivunki you will also enjoy Breakfast and Dinner as part of your package, each meal celebrating local ingredients and cooked using authentic methods such as smoking, in a cozy rustic environment.

Discover the tranquil art of reindeer sledding, an age-old tradition of Arctic life. Glide through snowy landscapes while your guide shares insights into the importance of reindeer herding in Sámi culture. The rhythmic sound of hooves creates a calming connection to the lands timeless heritage.

Combine two popular Arctic activities during this snowmobiling and ice fishing experience. You will follow your guide on snowmobiles, travelling over fells and through snowy forests until you reach a frozen lake in the wilderness.
Here, your guide will help you drill a hole through the thick ice. Then you’ll bait the hook and see who is lucky enough to get the catch of the day.
You will also build a fire and enjoy a light lunch – if you’re lucky enough to catch any fish then this will be served at lunch.
Please note, you will travel two per snowmobile with the option to swap drivers however, you must be at least 18 years old and hold a full driving licence to drive a snowmobile. Children aged 13 and under will travel in a sleigh pulled by the guide’s snowmobile. Children who are 13-14 years old and 140cm tall can choose to travel pillion on their parent’s snowmobile but will be charged as an adult.
