Itinerary
Upon landing at the airport, your assigned driver will be waiting for you in the arrivals area, ready to accompany you to Kurula’s. Snacks and bottled water will be provided, and should you desire any additional food or beverages for your suite, your driver will happily make a brief stop at a nearby grocery store. It’s worth mentioning that tap water in Finland is safe to drink. Once you’ve arrived at the resort, you’ll have the chance to unpack and settle into your suite before treating yourself to a delightful evening meal at the hotel’s restaurant.

Tuck in to the delicious breakfast buffet, before embarking on your first Lappish activity. You and your family will be escorted to the resort’s very own husky farm. The dogs will be very excited greet you all and keen to lead you through the snowy trails. The team will give a safety briefing and teach you how to navigate the sled. One adult from your group will mush as the rest of your party enjoy the enchanting views whilst sat in the sled. Back at the farm, listen to fascinating stories over a mug of hot berry juice and spend time up close with the adorable husky dogs.
This afternoon, you will be treated to a private meet and greet with Santa himself. After a short transfer, you and your family will have time to share stories and wishes with the big man himself in a traditional Finnish hut. There will be plenty of opportunity for photographs to capture this special moment.

Following a hearty breakfast, your day will be filled with a visit to a nearby reindeer farm, where you’ll have the chance to enjoy an up-close encounter with these beautiful creatures. This activity offers guests the opportunity to feed the animals, experience a traditional reindeer sleigh ride and discover more about reindeer herding and how these arctic mammals survive the cold winters.
This afternoon, you will board a special snow cat pulled winter train to the top of Lampivaara Fell for a visit to the fascinating amethyst mine. Distinguished by its dedication to sustainability, no machinery is used to excavate gemstones, nor are they exported as raw materials, preserving the treasures. Within its depths, some of the jewels date back as far as two billion years.

Prior to the tour, your knowledgeable guide will carefully plan your route, considering local weather forecasts, cloud cover, and celestial data. Once you reach your destination, the group will gather around a crackling campfire, where you'll learn intriguing facts about the Northern Lights, Lappish nature, and history. Your knowledgeable guide also provides guidance on photographing the auroras, assisting with camera settings and will provide their own camera to capture memorable shots.
Hot drinks and roasted sausages will be served around the campfire
A valid driver's licence is required for the driver. Children over 140cm in height can ride behind the snowmobile at the standard rate and children of 12 years of age and under must ride in the sledge pulled by a snowmobile.
