I guess the main point of the trips to the arctic circle is to see the Lights but I had such a great experience with everything else, it wouldn't have mattered if they didn't show up. All of the staff were so obliging and fellow holidaymakers were great. The food was excellent, we slept well and the Arctic experience was something else. Loved the Husky Drive and the Snow mobile trips the best. Awesome, Awesome and Awesome! Plus we saw the Northern Lights, what more could we ask?

Your holiday description sounded amazing and it lived up to it. I dealt with Andy on the phone and he was very helpful and responded efficiently to emails.

I found the young staff group friendly and welcoming, the hotel generally laid back and relaxing, and some other guests friendly and willing to chat. By the time I was leaving I was one of 5 women staying there on my own - a very positive thing: it felt safe and friendly to be there as a single woman. The location is sensational. And the vegetarian food vastly exceeded my expectations - it was probably the best sustained week of excellent vegetarian food I have had in my life. I'd not expected this in an area so famed for local meat and fish. The workshop and advice on northern lights photography on arrival was very useful. I also appreciated the time and patience offered by Graham in helping me consider options and choose this holiday - thanks, Graham! The advance information received on many topics was also extremely useful.

Everything from original booking to our flight home was so well organised and professional, transfers great, the clothing loans were spot on and the local guides were just wonderful. We had an amazing holiday from start to finish, an experience we will never forget. We're already recommending you to our friends and family! Thanks to everyone who contributed to our fabulous Northern Lights (and we saw them!) holiday.

The ability to get out onto the lakes and forests and experince driving a snowmoble was fantastic for both of us. All the guides,the people working at the resort and to be honest everyone we met was great.

No comments except to say it was just plain & simply a fantastic experience that we would love to do again. It was very well run & very well organised from the moment I made the initial phone call to book it all.

The holiday was truly incredible. From booking it to arriving home after it, it was all so simple and easy. The holiday will never ever be beaten! Nothing at all could be done to improve the holiday.

(Dog sledging).. the weather was perfect and the thrill of being pulled across the frozen lake by a team of wonderful dogs and admiring the fabulous scenery was really fantastic.

Fantastic holiday; we will certainly be coming back, loved every minute of it.

The trip was extremely well organized; in the months leading up to the trip, the documentation provided was thorough and if I had any questions, a representative was always prompt in replying. The trip was very smooth. The instructions provided for transfers, etc. were easy to follow and everything went smoothly. The accommodations were all lovely and cozy. The food choices were excellent; every meal felt like a gourmet meal! I also appreciated that while some activities were planned in advance for us, there was also a good balance of free time to rest and explore on our own. I very much enjoyed this trip. I would definitely consider traveling with The Aurora Zone again. Again, wonderful trip!! My Dad is already talking about wanting to schedule another Northern Lights trip in the future.Thank you!!

One of the best holidays I've been on and it was so easy to book. The support I received with questions I had was exceptional and everything was done and sent to me when you said it would be. And the free gift came in extremely handy! The staff at Apukka were all great, as was the food and drink.

Having mentioned our holiday was to celebrate my wife’s 50th birthday, the company organised a room upgrade, free bottle of wine and even helped arrange for a cake. Thanks so much for your attention and assistance. Definitely will book again.

The Northern Lights has always been at the top of my bucket list, and this trip has been years in the making! Needless to say, we were not disappointed! Every aspect exceeded our expectations! The hotel was incredible, the activities were life-changingly amazing (particularly the husky sledding, an absolute must and such a bucket list moment), the food was fantastic and the sheer attention to detail made this trip such a special experience that we'll never ever forget! To top it all off we managed to see the Northern Lights more than once, thanks to the very well thought out aurora alerts at the hotel! We could not recommend this trip, and The Aurora Zone, more highly!

We were really impressed with the whole package from the packing list through to the activities, thank you Aurora Tours! We very rarely do package tours but this holiday may have changed our thinking.

The activity guides were excellent and had a lot of local knowledge. The huskies were clearly well looked after and happy and the puppies were adorable. We really enjoyed the snowmobiles and our guide was great. The standard of accommodation was high and the food was excellent (especially for a person with lactose intolerance). Just a little bit more explanation of how things work and orientation when you arrive would ensure you settled in a bit quicker.

The hotel were amazing and made all of the food nut free during my stay which meant that I could eat the same as everyone else and not have to worry. This makes a huge difference and I really appreciate the effort they went to. The food was amazing and certainly one of the highlights of the trip. The local traditional Finnish dishes were hearty and very welcome! The moose bolognese was a favourite with many people.   The husky safari was so peaceful and we had a great husky team. The activity guides were great and allowed us to just get on with it. There really wasn't anything that we didn't like but the cross country skiing was the most physically and mentally challenging. After 5km across the lake in the dark we were all thoroughly exhausted!

Your team are very professional, friendly and never left us not knowing what was going on. Your communication or organisation were great.

Even if we hadn't seen the Lights we would have considered it a good holiday - the activities were really good and we had a fabulous few days.

Excellent honeymoon!! We had the best time, the experiences we had were incredible! Such a beautiful place, with lovely people. The landscape was stunning, and the northern lights were the cherry on top! Greta was brilliant! She's a real asset and represented the company really well! Lovely woman, truly enthusiastic about the location and excursions. The husky experience was incredible as it was so unique! The dogs were beautiful and it was truly magical. Also, we'd have to say the night snow mobile safari as the northern lights were phenominal! Our guide Lauri had a true passion for the lights too which was excellent as we weren't made to rush to get back. It didn't matter that the scheduled excursion was meant to last 1.5hours; he was happy to stay out with us for the whole show which lasted around 2 hours or so. Beautiful place, wonderful people and truly spectacular experiences! We said it would be a once in a lifetime trip; however cannot stop talking and planning our next one! Thank you for the introduction to Finland and an unforgettable honeymoon!!

I really was incredibly impressed with everything, it was so professional & I have forwarded your details to a number of friends & family who are interested in booking. I will definitely be using your company again and I would perhaps like to try a smaller resort to guarantee small guest numbers or go during the summer too. I was very lucky that all of my activities were small groups

We had a great holiday, all the staff at Brandon Lodge were friendly and helpful and seemed genuinely pleased to have us there. Graham Hughes gave his personal recomendation for booking this holiday which was very helpful and lived up to the expectation. The dog sledding was brilliant fun but was over too soon - by the time we got going etc the actual sledding lasted less than an hour.

Our local guide Ingi was absolutely brilliant - he took excellent care of us and took time out to show us additional sights we would not normally have seen!! We had an amazing 4 days and loved every minute. It was expensive to eat out there but as long as people know in advance they are not shocked. The admin before and during was spot on with your team.

The staff at the hotel were amazing and Sophie was very good at explaining how to do all the activities and very helpful.
